Please take our short Survey

If you run a Micro Business, are thinking of starting one, or have ideas about hobbies that could be turned into a Micro Business, then The Deans Marsh Cottage would love you to get involved with our program and take this short Survey!

Our program Access Tech aims to assist Micro Business development in our community by providing access to a range of technologies, information and tips.

This technology may be in the form of access to equipment like computers, photocopiers and various apps, or it may be access to assistance in developing your Micro Business’ on-line presence, and the skills to maintain it.

We are exploring establishing a co-working space in Deans Marsh but at this stage all Access Tech activity is happening on-line.

Micro Business – Definition:

ABS define Micro Business as non-employing, sole traders and businesses employing 1 – 4 people.

ATO define Micro Business as having less than $2m in annual turnover.

Access Tech aims to assist Micro Business development in our Deans Marsh and Otway community by providing access to a range of technologies, information and tips.
Thank you Otway Chai and Tahli Dobbin for this interview.

MADCAP – Marsh And District Community Action Plan

The Deans Marsh and District Community Action Plan

The Deans Marsh Cottage has been successful in gaining funding for our community to create a community generated action plan.

We are delighted to confirm that Peter Kenyon from The Bank of Ideas has been appointed to work with us over the next few months to facilitate the development of the plan. In 2019 Peter was awarded an Order of Australia Medal for his international and national community development initiatives.

There will be a range of opportunities and activities both formal and informal for you to be involved. Regular updates will feature on the Deans Marsh Community Cottage website, Cottage Facebook page, The Cottage fortnightly email update and printed information.

We are trained to ask:
“What’s wrong and how we fix it?”
Instead start by asking:
“What works, what have we got, what’s possible and who cares”
Peter Kenyon
