Community Dinners Program 2023 – Coordinator Role

Community Dinners Program 2023 – Coordinator Role

The Community Dinners Program was created to re-connect the community post the Covid19 pandemic. The programs’ purpose is to bring together all demographics of community and allow space and opportunities for the creation of new friendships and support networks through a shared meal.

The 2022 trial program was a great success with over 100 meals served to the community each month from July – December. Each dinner saw the congregation of new and older community members gathering to connect, volunteer, learn, share a meal and stories, and overall build social networks that lead to a stronger community.

We are excited to announce that due to the success in 2022, the Deans Marsh Community Cottage will continue to operate the Community Dinners Program to deliver a monthly community dinner, on the first Friday of each month, from March to December 2023. The Dinners will be held in the Deans Marsh Community Hall from 6pm – 8.30pm.
